Mamata congratulates voters of Daspur, Bankura
2012-06-16 [11:21:52 hrs] | | | Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee has congratulated the voters of Daspur and Bankura for returning her party's candidates in the by-elections to the two Assembly constituencies. |
| | | She said, “We contested the two seats. Won both the seats. Congratulations to the voters.”
In Daspur the margin was over 15,000 and in Bankura it was over 18,000. The seats had fallen vacant due to the death of MLAs Ajit Bhuniya in Daspur and Kashinath Mishra in Bankura. In both cases, their widows Mamata Bhuniya and Minati Mishra respectively won.
